IT Support Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking an IT Support Engineer to support all aspects of our Amsterdam office and the BENELUX region. Our Field Office Support Engineers facilitate IT’s endeavors on the ground, from support of users, infrastructure, and inventory; to acting as IT’s liaison for the office and its staff, working with vendors, and project management. There’s no job too big or too small for a Field Office Support Engineer if they are driving betterment for users, the site, the IT department, or NVIDIA.

In this role you will not just be supporting users, you will also be engaged in helping to engineer our support models and solutions, globally. While the main focus will be on your specific site(s), you will also have a global impact on our support organization. We rely on our Field Office Support Engineers and their understanding of their specific sites (their needs, use cases, and perspectives) to help guide change, growth, and decisions within IT.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide onsite and remote assistance to identify and resolve issues with Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Procure and maintain IT inventory including asset management and consumables.
  • Rack, network, power, and support for servers, switches, APs, UPS units and other equipment as needed and with support of the global IT specialist teams.
  • Regularly talk to Site leaders and staff to get feedback, gather problems, plan for site growth/changes, and find solutions with IT and others.
  • Keep track of developments in IT and communicate them to all site people as needed to avoid confusion and delays.
  • Driving improvement which includes documenting processes and procedures to share best practice and drive adoption globally.
  • Raise awareness of recurring issues with IT management and specialist teams and seek opportunities for improvement through new technologies and methodology.
  • Help manage office build out projects for IT equipment deployment, setup, configuration, installation, and management.

What we need to see:

  • 5+ years experience and Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in information systems or related field
  • Proven history of administration and support of Linux and Enterprise Windows environments, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues then crafting mitigation strategies and documentation
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to grow relationships and rapport.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work additional hours and travel to alternate field office sites if needed.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Highly motivated, organized, self-starter with experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • Proven Windows 10/11, Office 365, Android, iOS, Mac, and Linux experience
  • Experience with systems and tools, including DNS, DHCP, AD, AAD, VPN, VM, VDI, Autopilot, BitLocker
  • PowerShell or other scripting and automation skills
  • Experience with and supporting Ansible
