As our new agile test lead, you will step into a newly created software quality test team. Born from the Software Development department, we are now established as a brand new quality function, in place to handle the test process in systems and on exploratory levels.
You will join a team of 10 colleagues who will collaborate on using our specialised skills to optimise the entire test set-up. Our primary role will be to carry out tests across the Bang & Olufsen product portfolio and act as sounding boards to our software development engineers.
Alongside your new teammates, you will directly drive the development of our software test strategy and help build up a well-functioning test area. This gives us the ability to release software with a transparent quality level and use the new testing methods to ensure a high level of test coverage.
Moreover, you will assist the team manager with the many new products in our pipeline, playing a key role in ensuring test scope, planning and execution. You will also collaborate on essential market feedback and customer behavioural statistics which we use to enrich our test coverage and software quality process.
As well as working on the day-to-day testing activities, you will also share results and feedback with our development teams. Hence, you report test results to the team and collaborate closely with the development teams to provide bug information as early in the development as possible, so that changes affect ongoing test automation efforts.
As a person, you are outgoing and gregarious when working with the many departments in the product life cycle, especially when reporting on quality for release decisions (customer service, SW development, marketing, etc.). You understand the importance of customer feedback and know the right tools and techniques to refine the testing scope. With your strong debugging and analytical skills, you aptly discover cause and effect. Finally, you have good personal planning skills, which is beneficial when working on several development projects at a time.
