As a Technical Supply Coordinator you will be at the heart of ensuring all elements of this complex system work together to deliver world leading meteorological products.
Within the Computer and Storage Management (CSM) Competence Area, the Technical Supply Coordinator will be responsible for initiating and technically coordinating the procurements of IT equipment. The coordinator will be the single point of contact for hardware, software and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) related services or procurements. The Technical Supply Coordinator will be the Technical Officer of large service contracts, like the multi-vendor hardware and software maintenance, the license management service contract and the frame contract for supply of operational IT Equipment and software/firmware.
Duties
- Initiate, coordinate and follow up, in coordination with Contract Officers, the procurement of computer/storage and network equipment, COTS products and cloud computing services;
- Manage the overall IT capacity needs in support to Operations and pro-actively implement the procurement of required IT resources;
- Act as a single technical point of contact with service providers and vendors of IT equipment, COTS and cloud computing;
- Follow IT market trends and technology evolutions to assess relevance for Operations IT systems;
- In coordination with Contract Officers and Project Controllers, contribute to the continuous improvements of workflows and procedures efficiency to streamline procurements and delivery;
- Manage inventory list of software and hardware items to be maintained by the multi-vendor hardware and software maintenance and license management service provider;
- Act as technical officer for IT maintenance service support contracts; this includes coordination of service calls investigation and follow-up on their resolution;
- Conduct regular service performance reviews for the IT service support contracts.

Requirements
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing service contracts;
- Good experience with procurements of IT Hardware, Software and COTS;
- Advanced knowledge in IT equipment vendors and good understanding of different computer and storage platforms and operating systems;
- Experience with procurement of cloud computing services;
- Proved experience in IT resources capacity management;
- Ability to prepare technical documentation in English in a complete and clear manner;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a proven ability to apply these to working within, and across, teams.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in engineering or computer science (or another relevant discipline).
