We are looking for a Senior Deep Learning Software Engineer to join the NVIDIA Developer Technology group (Devtech) and work with a team of experienced engineers on innovative uses of deep learning for games and graphics. The Devtech team works with NVIDIA researchers and leading game developers to bring cutting edge AI research from across NVIDIA and the industry to gamers and 3D professionals in high performance packages such as Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS).
What you’ll be doing:
- Use deep learning to enhance the quality and improve the performance of 3D rendering.
- Apply deep learning techniques to real-time 3D rendering, computer games and film production pipelines.
- Develop tools and products for real-time deep learning model development, PC games, VR and educational applications.
- Improve realism and the immersive qualities of PC game and VR environments including intelligent characters, behavior of crowds and traffic, and human-machine interface problems.
- Use deep learning to simulate complex physical phenomena such as fluid dynamics, fracture of materials, combustion, audio synthesis and propagation, and more.
What we need to see:
- A Master’s degree (or higher) from a leading university in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field OR more than 5 years’ experience as a software engineer working on renderers for film, creating computer games, or making similar interactive software or high-performance deep learning models.
- Passion for 3D graphics, deep learning and PC games.
- Track record of releasing complex projects such as computer games, films or novel apps.
- Recent active experience with deep learning frameworks, C++, and DirectX or Vulkan.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Production experience on “Triple-A” film, interactive simulations, PC or console games.
- Contributing to a popular open-source project or work on an interesting side-project.
- Experience with CUDA (or parallel programming) and performance-centric deep learning.
- Deep understanding of 3D graphics and modern GPU architectures.
- Sharp mathematical skills.
- Working knowledge of Agile principles and methods.
- Variety and vision in your design and programming methodology and toolsets.
- Experience with automated builds, testing and reporting.
