Senior Software Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles

NVIDIA is looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join its dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced customer delivery organization. In this role, you will be owning the organization’s efforts to adapt the NVIDIA DRIVE® software stack to various target vehicles. In collaboration with core development in Santa Clara, you will own SW integration & adaptation of Visualization & Interior Sensing functions of NVIDIA DRIVE stack.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define, maintain and own SW integration of Visualisation & Interior Sensing functions of NVIDIA DRIVE stack;
  • Adapt application SW to customer specifications and integrate into customer vehicles;
  • Support SW architecture design, development, test, and launch of application SW;
  • Bug triaging and systematic problem solving of issues;
  • Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams (HW, V&V, Vehicle test) to ensure robust implementation of functions in the vehicle;
  • Perform proof-of-concepts, benchmarking, data collection, and/or customer demos with clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.

What we need to see:

  • BS/MS/PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field from a leading university;
  • Automotive SW development in C or C++ on Linux/QNX environment with dev toolchains (Git/Gerrit, CMake/Bazel, Jira, Jama/DOORS);
  • Experience in SW integration, vehicle integration of application SW including OEM/supplier interaction, project/release management;
  • Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN/FR, Ethernet), sensor technologies (Radar, Camera), and calibration methodologies;
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, proactive, and able to work with a minimum of supervision;
  • Willingness to travel around Europe to support NVIDIA partners.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with bringing camera based products to series production at a Tier1 or OEM;
  • Background with Computer Vision pipeline, 3D graphics APIs (OpenGL, OpenGL-ES, Vulkan);
  • Experience in scripting language (Python, Bash, etc), automation;
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and applicable standards (e.g., ASPICE, ISO-26262, EuroNCAP, GSR);
  • Previous experience with the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Platform and DRIVE PDK.
