A position of Data/ERP Enterprise Architect (d/f/m) has just opened within Airbus Defence & Space in Ottobrunn or Manching.
You will join the "Enterprise and Data Architecture" team. This team acts as one of the major actors of the innovation and the driver of the simplification of the IM landscape. You will be able to evolve within the team thanks to your involvement in major projects and additional training.
Job description:
- You will assess the applicability of new digital technologies to support the current and future company objectives (especially in the ERP context) and define the associated guidelines and principles;
- You will define the principles related to data architecture;
- You will ensure the application of principles in the frame of the overall IM strategy;
- You will provide direction/guidance to ensure compliance and alignment with the solutions across the division;
- You will maintain the architecture related information within the Enterprise Architecture Referential in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
You will be in charge of the following main activities:
- Contribute to the architecture's strategy, processes and methodologies enterprise wide;
- Evaluate and update the overall architecture against the short and long-term business goals;
- Identifies and evaluates the current data management technologies and the new opportunities for data governance (Storage, tagging, acquisition, handling and exposure);
- Defines the best architecture guidelines of Data management, integration and processing;
- Prepare the future of the Airbus Defence and Systems Information System by identifying and demonstrating the value of the innovative technologies against the business expectations;
- Influence specific roadmaps in alignment with enterprise initiatives;
- Ensure the constant visibility of the current status of the Information System (Enterprise Architecture repository);
- Validate new technologies aligned to Digitalization and other strategic drivers.
Business travels can be expected (once/month maximum) in Europe and consequently, you must be willing to travel accordingly.
Your profile:
Educational Qualifications and experience:
- Significant experience in IS organization with a proven experience on Architecture Design and Digitalization;
- Experience in a business context (industrial or ERP context);
- Experience in working in an international environment;
- Experience in agile project methodologies is a plus (e.g. SCRUM).
Technical knowledge:
- Technology strategy & planning;
- Architecture management methodology (TOGAF);
- Modeling tools (Mega/Enterprise Architect);
- Strong knowledge on data governance principles and practices, in particular within Big Data platforms;
- Ability to melt new systems with existing warehouse structures;
- Big Data platforms (Hadoop, NoSQL database, Spark, ..);
- Database management system software (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server or NoSQL);
- Enterprise Architecture tool (Alfabet) is a plus;
- Data governance tools (eg Apache Atlas, Ranger, Collibra, ...) is a plus;
- Solution development is a plus.
Professional skill:
- Proven in driving improvement & innovation;
- Proven in communication, management customer expectations;
- Data Security and classification rules;
- Data management Expertise: Strong knowledge on industry and existing frameworks/solutions;
- Proven in Project management is a plus.
Soft skills:
- Team worker;
- Negotiation and influence.
Language skills:
- English advanced;
- German advanced.
