Your tasks & responsibilities:

As a System Engineer FCAS Combat Cloud (d/f/m) you are responsible for the concept, design, development, and technical procurement of communication systems, i.e. specification and implementation.

Define the Network System Architecture and the development logic according to aircraft/spacecraft/product architecture requirements, to integration constraints and to aircraft/spacecraft/product logic.

Activities:

  • System architecture;
  • Capture, formulate, validate & cascade requirements;
  • Define and manage interfaces;
  • Design of the dynamic network management;
  • Prepare and support to test campaign.

This job combines knowledge of several disciplines with the ability to think outside the box. You will work on complex systems and applications including hardware and software solutions. Your activities will be performed in close cooperation with other System Engineerings, internal/external partners and sub-contractors.

Your tasks consist of:

  • System requirements engineering in the area of the FCAS dynamic network management;
  • Conduct and follow-up conceptual design activities in the area of systems engineering, including but not limited to requirement, interface, user data and management data flow;
  • Definition of function and requirements for the related Software;
  • Elaboration of system trade-offs and support the overall system architecture definition;
  • Technical lead of system activities and of major project reviews;
  • Provide technical support to the PA/QA manager for non-conformances, request for deviation and waivers;
  • Provide technical support to the project manager on planning, contractual changes and risk & opportunities identification.

Your profile:

  • Master's degree in Communication, Electrical or other related Engineering;
  • Profound knowledge of military aircraft communication systems;
  • Strong experience in telecommunications, RF and link budget engineering;
  • Knowledge of requirements engineering;
  • Good knowledge in software based systems and IT networks;
  • Experience in design, development, integration, verification, operations of systems as well as associated processes and operational procedures;
  • Ability to operate in a multi-national team organization;
  • Work style characterized by autonomy, proactive behavior and cooperation;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience with military aircraft standards as well as industry standards;
  • Language skills: English fluent, German fluent.
