As a Lead Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of embedded software. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components and to design and create new applications.

As a Lead Embedded Software Engineer, you will be:

• Working across varied range of technologies and software disciplines covering our current and legacy portfolio of subsea products;
• Working on the software that is deployed on our Subsea Electronics Modules (SEM), the equipment used to communicate with the SEM and the suites of tools that we deploy internally and externally to support the test and operation of these products;
• Working on new products (NPI) that we constantly introduce on oil fields and implement in new projects as well.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent;
• Have experience in developing embedded software systems;
• Have knowledge and experience in C/C++ programming or knowledge of other technologies;
• Have working knowledge of typical communication protocols (listed above) and standards (RS232, RS485, RS422);
• Have good English verbal and written communication skills;
• Have knowledge of typical microprocessor and microcontroller architectures (Arm Cortex M0+/Cortex M4, Infineon C167) - would be seen as an asset;
• Have experience of working in the production, manufacturing company - will be seen as an asset.
