Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Senior IT System Engineer to join our IT team and play a crucial role in managing our network, infrastructure, storage, and virtualization. The role will be responsible for monitoring, advising, managing and improving various systems across the company.

Your responsibilities

Leads IT projects assigned to him by the manager.
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, bare metal servers, virtual and physical networks, VPNs, port forwarding, DNS, etc.).
Perform capacity planning and network upgrades to support business growth.
Manage storage solutions, backup systems, and disaster recovery strategies.
Oversee and optimize virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware, etc.).
Administer and troubleshoot Unix based OS, ensuring security and performance.
Monitor and administer of software systems and network performance, identify issues, and implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation (configurations, policies, procedures, etc.).

What you bring to the table

Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Computer networks or related field.
5+ years proven experience in network administration, system engineering, or IT infrastructure.
Practical knowledge of operating systems, software systems, cloud-based solutions, computer networks and communications, peripheral devices.
Experience with computer networking, routing and network protocols
Experience troubleshooting transport protocols (TCP/UDP)
Expertise in Unix based system administration.
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies.
Strong knowledge of storage solutions and disaster recovery planning.
Experience with automation and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Skills for designing software and hardware systems.
Must be reliable, professional, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
Ability to conduct training sessions.
