Summary of the Role:

In this role, you'll be responsible for the operability, performance, reliability, and security of our MariaDB database platform. You'll engage in system development, problem-solving, and planning to ensure our database services are efficient and secure.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Integrate database add-on product suites;
• Monitor performance and manage parameters to ensure efficient database services;
• Provide tools for managing and monitoring access permissions and privileges;
• Ensure that storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures are effective, including disaster recovery procedures;
• Implement and install new DB solutions;
• Validate and test new versions of the database management system (RDBMS);
• Write and maintain database documentation, including platform specifications and procedures description.

We’d Love to Meet You, If:

• You have 2+ years of operational DBA experience under operational conditions;
• You have experience working as a MariaDB DBA, preferably on a Linux platform;
• You have experience in automation of database platforms;
• You hold a university degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
• You possess scripting knowledge (i.e., Shell, Python, Ansible);
• You have knowledge of release management processes and tools like Git;
• You have strong communication and consulting skills, and a proactive mindset.
