THE ROLE:

AMD seeks a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and the initiative to motivate an expert team. You will manage a worldside team of Hardware Infrastructure engineers supporting our internal teams to execute on Graphics and Multimedia IP products.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate has experience leading others in technical and managerial settings. You also have excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead a worldwide team of engineers supporting and developing EDA Tools and Methodologies that enable our engineers to delivery world class Graphics and Multimedia cores;
Collaborate with EDA Vendors, Internal tool developers and IT teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

A strong leader with experience working with a distributed team;
Experience developing and maintaining software tools used by hardware teams (e.g. Databases, Regression management tools, Disk and Computing reports etc.);
Skilled in at least one software language (e.g. Python, C++);
Strong knowledge of the hardware IP development flow;
Strong mentoring and coaching skills;
Proven experience managing and leading teams;
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze current behavior, identify potential areas for improvement and design of experiments;
Must be a self-starter and self-motivated.
