Your role will encompass:

• Developing, testing, improving, and maintaining new and existing desktop and web applications for the Greek and foreign Wholesale Energy markets.
• Maintaining and developing databases.
• Ensuring that applications and database run reliably.
• Developing store procedures and triggering needed to improve dBs performance.
• Developing reports upon ad hoc users’ requests.
• Assisting in data storage optimization (ex. indexes for query optimization which is a critical pain point for our business).
• Assisting front and middle office users to improve the quality of their responsibilities and boost their efficiency through day-to-day data business operations.
• Deploying Windows services to implement event listeners, to capture live-streaming data or even create simple trading bots.
• Creating nice and responsive grids and graphs for our front-end web app.

What you bring to the role:

• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• 3+ years of working experience on relational databases, such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
• Working experience with SQL, T-SQL, PHP, Visual Basic, C#, Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Ability to understand users’ requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
• Experience in developing web applications (MVC, HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.).
• Experience in working with APIs/ Web services (SOAP, RESTful).
• Experience in with version controlling techniques (Git/ GitHub).
• A background in Energy Wholesale and/or Retail market would be highly considered as a plus.
• Familiarity in Machine Learning techniques would be highly considered as a plus.
