EUMETSAT is an intergovernmental organisation based in Darmstadt, Germany. Our vision is to be the leading user-driven operational agency in Europe and a trusted global partner for weather and Earth system monitoring from space. All data provided by our state-of-the-art satellites systems are making a tangible difference in people's lives and contribute to the thriving European economy.
The Digital Workspace is a core service provided by the ICT Division, delivered through a hybrid infrastructure combining on-premises and cloud-based solutions. The ongoing transition to the cloud has already enhanced flexibility, scalability, security, and innovation capacity. Looking ahead, the focus will be on further improving user experience and operational effectiveness through the integration of mobile devices and deployment of advanced cloud services.
To support this evolving environment, ICT Cloud and Digital Workspace Engineers will play a key role in the operation, integration, administration, and continuous improvement of the underlying infrastructure. We are seeking professionals with around five years of experience, who are adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn and grow with emerging technologies and processes. Reporting to the ICT Digital Workspace and Datacenter Lead, and working closely with all IT teams, the successful candidates will contribute to the development and optimisation of EUMETSAT’s digital workspace and its supporting systems.
The ICT Digital Workspace Infrastructure is primarily based on Microsoft technologies (both on-premises and cloud), VMware, and complementary tools that enhance functionality, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
