Position

We are looking for an experienced HW/RF design engineer for our hardware team in Malmo. It is also required that you have good knowledge of regulatory tasks and experience of radio certification and type approval activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly motivated and experienced team doing HW and RF designs for our short range modules. We are looking for a curious, innovative, structured colleague with a wide technical interest. We work both in medium sized product projects and in smaller projects where you should be able to take on new tasks and find your own solutions.

You will be an important part of the hardware development team which designs both Bluetooth/Wi-Fi modules and supporting evaluation boards to make Internet of Things become a reality.

Responsibilities

  • Design hardware for new Short-Range radio modules
  • Integration of wireless transceivers, radio front ends and antennas
  • Together with certification manager, develop competence and act as an advisor in the projects, within certification area
  • Review and verification of RF designs
  • Verify that modules work according to specification
  • Write technical documentation
  • Design PCB for internal use (e.g. development, characterization and evaluation boards)
  • Ensure on-time delivery, performance, and cost as planned
  • Select components in cooperation with purchasing team
  • Ensure transfer of design to manufacturing partner
  • Analyze parts that are returned by customers
  • Support specification of new products
  • Provide input for and review data sheets, user guides and release notes
  • Contribute to improvements of company processes and quality requirements

Skills and experience

  • MS or BS in electrical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of Hardware Engineering experience
  • Experience in Mixed Signal (RF/Digital) System design on Board level
  • Know-how in RF-Measurement techniques
  • Experience from EMC, standardization and certification
  • Used to work independently and precisely
  • Experience in using board design CAD and simulation tools, preferably in Altium Enterprise environment but Cadence experience is also a plus.
  • Knowledge in software programming is an advantage
  • Good English skills, skills in other languages are an advantage
