About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team for a long-term project in the retail industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of programming principles, data architecture, and database technologies - both relational and NoSQL. This role demands a well-rounded technical skill set, including experience with large-scale data processing, data modeling, and cloud-based data solutions.

Role's requirements

6+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer;
Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases (SQLite, MongoDB);
Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing concept;
Strong skills in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools, especially in processing large data sets;
A strong understanding of cloud services with a focus in data storage and processing;
A strong understanding of big data, big data processing and big data technologies;
Experience with Apache Spark;
Experience with Databricks;
Experience with Python will be considered as an advantage;
Excellent technical and analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address data-related challenges;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field;
Excellent verbal and written English.
