THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for an experienced AI Applications development engineer who is passionate about building innovative and impactful AI-based applications. You will be a member of a World-wide team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest software technology. 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should be passionate about AI applications development and possess leadership skills to deliver innovative projects on time. A self-driven technologist who is able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD. Someone who will constantly improve through personal development and a genuine curiosity for the latest AI technologies, techniques and compute.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work as part of a distributed team of high-performing AI application developers
Drive efficiency through the promotion of AI adoption in every part of the AMD organisation
Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts
Stay informed of AI software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to generative AI
Take ownership for the design and delivery of AI applications for internal AMD teams
Influence the operational direction of the team by providing technical input on development, delivery and support of applications and application changes
Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work
Develop technical relationships with peers and partners

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Strong Python development experience
Proven track record of interacting with customers and delivering on requirements
Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail
Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub actions
Knowledge of compute platforms such as Kubernetes
Knowledge of generative AI concepts such as RAG, Multi-Agent Systems, Model Context Protocol
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
