Responsibilities

Join our R&D team as a Senior macOS Software Engineer (all genders) and actively contribute to the development of new features of our product allowing remote access, control and support. The position will report to the Team Manager Software Development and provides an excellent opportunity to create an impact and add value in an agile, modern environment.

• Design and develop multi-threaded and high scaling server- and client-side applications;
• Optimize our software to deliver the best connectivity on resource limited devices (operating panels, gateways, even harvesters);
• Ensure that our software is stable and runs efficiently on many different systems (more than 2.5 billion installations);
• Improve our integration with macOS and bring the latest Apple technologies into our product, ensuring efficient implementation and improving battery life on mobile devices;
• Recommend improvements to architecture and technologies to further enhance our systems and code base regarding reliability, maintainability, scalability, and efficiency;
• Monitor the latest technical developments in your field and make proposals for improvements.

Requirements

• A university or college degree in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related subject;
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of software development with focus on Apple operating systems like macOS/iOS/visionOS;
• Solid skills in architecture in object-oriented programming with Clean Code and Design Patterns is expected;
• Interest or knowledge in web technologies such as TypeScript, HTML 5 is a plus;
• Fluency in English is mandatory, further languages such as German are a plus.
