About the role:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project that leverages advanced data science to optimize and personalize the customer experience within a rapidly growing global food tech platform.

Responsibilities:

• Develop prototype solutions, mathematical models, algorithms, and robust analytics to support insights and visualization of complex datasets;
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and draw actionable conclusions;
• Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize KPIs for multiple business teams;
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure solutions meet requirements for functionality, scalability, and reliability;
• Work directly with business analysts and data engineers to understand and support use cases;
• Identify opportunities to leverage company data for business solutions across the organization;
• Drive innovation by exploring new experimentation methods and statistical techniques;
• Cross-train team members on technologies and actively contribute to the company’s data science community.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience developing data science solutions with measurable business impact;
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields;
• Proven ability to solve business problems using machine learning and statistics;
• 4+ years of experience applying techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, time series prediction, anomaly detection, and recommendation systems;
• 4+ years of hands-on Python experience (Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, statsmodels, imbalanced-learn);
• Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Matplotlib/Seaborn);
• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and reporting;
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and MLOps concepts;
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Desirable:

• Strong knowledge of probability theory, statistics, and mathematics behind ML;
• 1+ year of experience with Deep Learning (TensorFlow or PyTorch);
• Data Science/Machine Learning certifications or research experience;
• Experience with Kubernetes, Vertex AI, Airflow/DBT, or Big Data frameworks like Hadoop/Spark;
• Experience with NoSQL, columnar, or graph databases.
