We are seeking a passionate Azure Cloud Platform Architect to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in managing and governing the architectural principles of Azure Cloud Platform and surrounding service offerings. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You will be joining the Azure Cloud Platform team consisting of 6 colleagues. The best way to describe the team is by their positive mindset, always eager to help and collaborate with one another. They prioritize creating a great atmosphere, where teamwork and having fun together while working are key to their success. You will report directly to Lene Larsen, People Leader in Global IT, based in Hellerup. You will also be based in Hellerup.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Actively contribute to define the platform architecture and governance the framework and principles
• Execute on our Azure Cloud Backlog to develop the platform and services in addition to assisting our colleagues with developing and utilizing our platform for solving new business cases and sol
• Drive continuous development and improvement initiatives together with our IT product teams, business, and vendors
• Think holistic and ensure solution design fits and supports Ascendis’ growing business 
• Act as a sparring partner for other IT Professionals
• Collaborate with and manage our external vendors delivering development and operations services
• Work closely together with other architects to ensure alignment with activities and overall architecture

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold an academic degree – preferably a Master Degree of Computer Science, IT, Engineering or something completely different – and 5 years of experience within Microsoft Azure and Cloud Architecture.

Furthermore, you have:

• Worked with hybrid models of infrastructure in a global company
• A pragmatic and holistic mindset
• Great stakeholder- and communication skills
• A desire to work collaboratively to achieve the best results.
• A solid foundation in ITIL and governance processes
• Preferably, you have Azure Solutions Architect certification
