Full Stack R-Shiny and Python Developer - Senior Consultant

Tasks

• Develop Python-based backend and RESTful API solutions/microservices architectures
• Adapt and maintain components within the existing R stack
• Maintain and enhance RShiny dashboards
• Create complex database queries, perform indexing, and conduct performance tuning
• Collaborate with colleagues to define and implement optimal, end-to-end solutions based on stakeholder requirements
• Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle
• Implement user stories, track and fix bugs in scalable and highly available software components
• Conduct code and merge reviews to ensure code quality and maintain system performance
• Analyze tickets and log files to identify issues and root causes
• Identify problems and define workarounds when possible
• Communicate system changes and explain existing application features to clients

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Proven experience with R and RShiny for data analysis, visualization, and dashboard development.
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, including experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and Apache Impala, including query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures, RESTful API design, and modern backend development practices.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Economics is preferred

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices.
• Working knowledge of Jira or Confluence.
• Basic understanding of Docker for containerization and deployment automation.
