Danfoss is seeking a highly skilled UI/UX Designer to design and develop engaging and informative user interfaces for our data center digital twin applications. This role requires expertise in front-end development, one or more gaming engines, interaction and motion design and 3D spatial visualization techniques to create compelling and intuitive experiences for users interacting with complex data sets. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating user-centered designs and a proven ability to translate technical data into clear and actionable insights

In this role, you will work both with your individual tasks and responsibilities as well as with managing and owning several digital projects. The position requires a collaborative and flexible approach, as you will be working individually on projects, but at the same time collaborating a lot in cross-functional teams with software developers, external partners and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop 3D spatial applications and interactive interfaces for visualizing data from data center digital twins, using tools like Three.js, CesiumJS, Unity, or Unreal Engine;
• Create user interfaces with game engine animations and ensure applications are performant, scalable, and responsive across devices and browsers;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, engineers, stakeholders) to define data requirements, visualization strategies, and contribute to overall UX design;
• Implement interactive navigation and data exploration features while integrating applications with back-end systems and data sources;
• Conduct user testing and collect feedback to iteratively improve usability and maintain comprehensive documentation;
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in 3D visualization, game engines, and UI/UX design to continuously enhance solutions.

What We're Looking For

This role requires a university degree in Computer Science, interactive design, or a related field and a minimum of three years of experience in data analytics. Additionally, proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and their implementation in project management is essential.

In addition to that, we are looking out for the following: 

• Scripting for UI logic (C# for Unity, Blueprint/C++ for Unreal);
• Animation systems for UI transitions;
• Shader basics for UI effects;
• Responsive/adaptive UI for multiple resolutions and platforms;
• Experience with data integration and API development is a plus;
• Strong understanding of user interface design principles and best practices;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
• A portfolio showcasing relevant visualization projects is required;
• Familiarity with data center cooling technologies is a plus;
• Finally, you are a strong communicator and proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
