Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administration of SAP HANA, SAP ASE, and Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability;
• Monitor database performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to enhance system efficiency;
• Develop and enforce database security policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry and internal company standards;
• Develop and implement backup and recovery and high availability scenario and strategies for SAP System Databases;
• Work closely with SAP application teams and other stakeholders to align database management strategies with business needs;
• Participate in project planning and implementation efforts related to database upgrades, migrations, and new deployments;
• Analyze database usage trends and forecast future capacity requirements to ensure scalability;
• Optimize database configurations and queries to improve performance and reduce resource consumption;
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.

Required skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of knowledge and experience in Database administration;
• Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and performance tuning;
• Proficiency in SQL, database backup/recovery, and performance monitoring tools;
• Experience with database security best practices and compliance regulations;
• Experience with various tools like HANA cockpit, OEM, SQL developer etc.;
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation tasks;
• University-level degree in IT or a related field;
• Work experience in an international environment;
• Good communication skills and previous experience communicating with senior management stakeholders.
