Scrum Master/Release Analyst

At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As our new Scrum Master, you’ll play a key part in this mission and lead/oversee the adoption of release management and Scrum practices within the Enterprise Technology department.
This role will collaborate with release managers, product managers, portfolio managers, system engineers, and other technology team members to ensure adherence to best practices and the effective implementation of agile methodologies for delivering project functionality, change requests, and business development needs.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare for and facilitate all scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint retrospectives, and sprint refinement
- Take the role of SCRUM Master for Novocure internal development teams and facilitate the Agile development process for the development of key projects and change requests
- Guide and coach the team on Agile Scrum principles and practices according to the company procedures (e.g., effectiveness of requirement and story writing)
- Work with the Product Managers, System architects and the Developers to prioritize the product backlog
- Track team performance metrics (e.g., team velocity), analyze data, and suggest improvements to the Scrum process based on insights gained
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risk, issues, and changes
- Escalate risk, issues, roadblocks, etc. to appropriate management levels and manage escalations through to resolution
- Assist Release Manager with documenting release notes, rollback plans, and impact analyses
- Deliver per established project milestones
About You
To thrive in this role if you will need these essential qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience acting as SCRUM Master
- Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices
- Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior leaders and peers, effectively push back and ask questions that generate solutions (strong risk management skills)
- Ability to collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams
- Ability to review and assess risks associated with releases
- Relationship building skills across all levels within an organization
These additional qualifications are preferred:
- 2+ years of working with Atlassian suite (Jira, etc.) or equivalent toolset; previous experience with the implementation of Atlassian/Jira a plus
- Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is a plus
- SAFe certification and Kanban certification is a plus
- Medical technology industry experience is a plus
