EPS-SG Ground Segment Systems Engineer

We are looking for Aerospace/Software Engineers, Computer Scientist graduates or PhDs (or of another discipline with equivalent experience) with 3 or more years experience in software integration, validation, testing, requirements engineering to work in ground segment systems and join our service team at our client EUMETSAT in Darmstadt to work in the EPS-SG mission.

Requirements/Desired Experience:

• Space and ground system engineering processes, system and software life cycles and standards;
• Experience in the domain of satellite Mission Control Systems in operational environments;
• Experience in IV&V;
• Experience in preparing system requirements and design documents;
• Practical knowledge in definition, management and traceability of requirements structure and related tools (e.g. IBM DOORs);
• Experience in interface management and familiarity with mechanisms and tools for detailed interface definition;
• Knowledge of IT/ground segment technologies: relational databases, virtualisation, networking, software deployment tools;
• Experience in modelling and design languages for System Engineering (e.g. SysML) and tools in support of architectural design activities (e.g. Enterprise Architect) would be a plus;
• Knowledge of ECSS standards.
