The Mission

In our international team of multidisciplinary squads and be part of building the next-generation banking applications in the Daily Banking tribe. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing scalable, resilient, and real-time banking processes, providing near real-time information to millions of ING savings account holders in the Netherlands. This is a unique opportunity to work on the technical backbone of our front-end Lit applications and Java API's, which are used by millions of customers across various channels.

Your day to day

• Innovate, create, and improve our digital channels and customer experience;
• Collaborate with business colleagues, UX designers, visual designers, and product owners;
• Develop backend and frontend solutions using technologies such as Kotlin, Java, Spring, Maven, Azure, Prisma, Oracle, Kafka, Lit Webcomponents, and NPM;
• Drive (test) automation, continuous delivery, and deployment using tools like Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Fortify, OpenShift, and Kubernetes;
• Take ownership and be responsible for refining, coding, testing, and deploying your work in on-premise and cloud environments;
• Lead development experience is a plus;
• Solve technical and functional challenges with self-motivation and an itch for innovation;
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and embrace an agile way of working.

What you bring to the team

• Strong proficiency in software development (backend and frontend) with a proven track record (6+ years);
• Thorough understanding of (test) automation, continuous delivery, and deployment tools and pipelines;
• DevOps mindset with the ability to refine, code, test, and deploy your own work;
• Strong analytical skills and conceptual/architectural understanding;
• Interest and vision in recent trends in software development and technology;
• Excellent social and communication skills, being a sparring partner for business colleagues.
