Responsibilities
We are looking for a proactive IT professional with experience in agile software development to implement business-specific message validation and transformation. You will develop, test and support validation and translation artefacts enabling interoperability across the financial ecosystem, mostly using Swift’s message translation and mapping tool, Swift Translator.
You will:
- Develop and document custom code, validation rules and business mappings between standard formats, based on specifications co-created with business colleagues;
- Review and challenge business requirements from internal and external customers;
- Manage specification, development, testing, deployment and support activities with an Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement mindset, ensuring quality and resilience;
- Contribute to robust automation testing and operational tools that guarantee Swift-quality deliveries.
Qualifications
- Software development and scripting experience (Java, Python, Perl, Ant or similar);
- Experience with 4GL/mapping and formal rule definition languages (knowledge of Swift Translator or Trace Transformer is an advantage);
- Experience with XSLT and XML-based transformations, as well as tools similar to Oracle Data Integrator or Altova Mapforce;
- Familiarity with SWIFT standards (MT, ISO 20022), MyStandards, XML, JSON and messaging products;
- Precise and structured mindset, even under pressure;
- Knowledge of development and agile collaboration tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Cloudbees, etc.);
- Integration, testing and automation focus;
- Agile development and governance experience;
- Confident communicator, fluent in English;
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing requirements.
Education
- University degree in scientific or IT domain.
Experience
- Young graduates welcome. From 3 to 5 years experience developing, testing and deploying mission-critical software is a plus, ideally in the financial industry using Swift MT or ISO 20022 standards.
