Infrastructure Developer

Atlas HUB team is looking for an Infrastructure Developer to join our R&D team and take ownership of the core system infrastructure that enables reliable, low-latency, real-time operation. In this role, you will focus on Linux-based infrastructure, embedded platforms, and video systems, supporting production and mission-critical environments. You will work closely with backend, frontend, and hardware teams to ensure system stability, performance, and scalability across the full software lifecycle - from design and development to deployment in production environments. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, real-world systems at the intersection of robotics, autonomy, and high-performance software engineering. This is a full-time, hybrid role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure and low-level components for embedded systems.
- Develop and maintain video pipelines for real-time and low-latency systems.
- Build, customize, and maintain Linux kernels and BSPs.
- Develop and maintain Docker-based build and deployment environments for embedded systems.
- Optimize system performance, latency, reliability, and resource usage.
- Debug, profile, and maintain complex production and embedded systems.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across ATLAS HUB to deliver robust system solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of hands-on C++ development experience.
- Strong experience working in Linux-based environments.
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Experience with real-time or low-latency systems.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience with Git and modern development tools.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure components.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with video streaming protocols (e.g., RTP, RTSP, WebRTC).
- Experience with Gstreamer.
- Familiarity with GPU/hardware-accelerated video pipelines.
- Background in robotics or autonomous systems.
- Experience with mission-critical or safety-critical environments.
