Opportunity

As Director of Engineering, you are a senior technical leader responsible for the overall engineering capability, technical excellence, and delivery performance of Fadata’s software development organization.

This role is not responsible for Product Owners or product ownership. It focuses on engineering leadership, architecture execution, platform quality, scalability, and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities

• Define and drive engineering vision, principles, and standards;
• Ensure efficient development with the use of AI toolboxes;
• Lead and mentor Engineering Managers and lead developers;
• Ensure high-quality, predictable software delivery;
• Own engineering practices, SDLCand quality standards from the development perspective;
• Act as senior technical escalation point in collaboration with the Chief Architect;
• Drive the development of modernization, innovation, and platform evolution;
• Ensure security and architectural compliance, as well as operational excellence;
• Be a value creating member of the Product Development management team, and excel in collaboration with the rest of the Fadata organization.

What you bring to the table

• Master’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineeringor MBA is preferred;
• 8+ years of experience in IT/software engineering;
• 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles;
• Strong hands-on technical background;
• Experience in regulated software environments or insurance systems.
