Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Cybersecurity Architect Lead to drive the design, development, and expansion of our advanced cybersecurity services across Africa. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong commercial and customer-facing skills to lead solution architecture, pre-sales engagements, and technical delivery excellence.

The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor capable of engaging C-level stakeholders, driving cybersecurity business growth, and ensuring the successful deployment and integration of enterprise-grade security programs and technologies. A strong understanding of the Nigerian cybersecurity market, industry players, and competitive landscape is essential to effectively position our services and build strategic partnerships in the region.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of cybersecurity architectures across enterprise environments, covering SOC, IR, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and UEBA platforms;
• Sales and Pre-Sales Engagements: Partner with sales teams to understand client needs, present cybersecurity value propositions, and contribute to business growth through technical demonstrations and workshops;
• Proposal & RfP Development: Build detailed technical proposals and responses to RfPs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and global security best practices;
• Cybersecurity Governance: Advise clients on frameworks such as ISO 27001, SWIFT CSCF, PCI DSS, and NIST CSF, helping organizations mature their governance and risk management processes;
• Technology Leadership: Ensure successful integration and optimization of Microsoft security solutions, including Microsoft 365 Security, Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender Suite, and Purview;
• SOC Operations Oversight: Guide managed SOC design and operations, aligning detection, investigation, and response capabilities with cyber threat intelligence and automation via SOAR;
• Market Development: Leverage strong networks in Nigeria and the wider African market to drive cybersecurity sales, partnerships, and regional business expansion;
• Emerging Threat Leadership: Provide direction on Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Data Security, and Cloud Security strategies;
• Cross-Platform Security Expertise (preferred): Expand client solutions through experience with alternate SIEMs (Splunk, QRadar, Exabeam) and security controls in other CSPs such as AWS and GCP environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, security operations, or advisory roles;
• Proven experience in pre-sales and customer engagement, preferably in cybersecurity consulting or services firms;
• Deep understanding of enterprise cybersecurity technologies and incident management practices;
• Strong familiarity with regulatory standards and audit frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SWIFT, NIST);
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security ecosystems and cloud-native controls;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into business-aligned outcomes;
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, or Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert are advantageous;
• In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian cybersecurity ecosystem, including key competitors, partners, and market trends.
