Your role and responsibilities

As an AWS Data Engineer, you will design and build scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions that power analytics and business decision-making for enterprise clients. Working within our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center, you will collaborate with architects, analysts, and delivery teams to deliver production-grade data platforms on AWS.

In this role, you will:

Design and develop batch and streaming data pipelines using Python and Spark
Build and deploy data processing solutions within AWS environments
Model and transform complex datasets to support analytics and reporting use cases
Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud data platforms
Contribute to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of data solutions
Work in agile teams to deliver robust, client-facing data products

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of data modeling concepts
Hands-on experience using Python and Spark in production environments (ideally 1+ year of practical experience)
Experience building and deploying data pipelines in AWS environments (ideally 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience)
Understanding of distributed data systems and data warehousing principles
Experience working in agile delivery teams
Professional-level English
