Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
• Experience with coding in data structures, algorithms and software design.
• Experience with engineering tools and infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Unix/Linux or Windows environments, C++ development, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval, network programming, or developing large software systems.

In this role, you will ensure the safety of Alphabet, our partners, and users worldwide as our customers deliver their critical missions. This is a rare opportunity to make a Google-level impact on the future of AI. You will be responsible for Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) security across both on-premises and cloud deployments of AI infrastructure. Your work will span Firmware (FW), Drivers, Operating Systems (OS), Networking (NW), and Services, requiring close partnership with cross-functional engineering groups.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with security teams inside of Google and partner and customer teams working with us.
• Develop Operating System (OS) and Hardware (HW) security features for our product (mostly using C++).
• Design security solutions within the scope of the broader area.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
