We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to be the technical and human pillar of our OpenAEV Integration team:
You'll drive the roadmap alongside the product team, while directly contributing to the codebase on a daily basis. You will balance hands-on coding with team leadership, shipping real code while setting the pace, standards, and direction for your squad;
You will own technical quality, team well-being, and delivery execution for a team that builds integrations allowing OpenAEV to simulate real-life attack scenarios and connect with a wide ecosystem of cybersecurity actors and platforms.
Your Responsibilities
Own the mindset, energy, and well-being of your team;
Run structured, effective 1:1s and annual reviews, in collaboration with the Staff Engineer, to support each person's growth;
Define clear objectives and expectations for every team member, aligned with their career path and Filigran's goals;
Maintain full visibility on all ongoing tasks and their progress at all times;
Be accountable for ETAs - anticipate blockers, surface risks early, and keep delivery on track;
Actively challenge Product on definitions, priorities, timing, and roadmap trade-offs;
Write, review, and merge code daily - this is a first-class activity, not a side task;
Deliver meaningful PR reviews that elevate code quality and help teammates grow, not just rubber-stamp approvals;
Own technical deliverables end-to-end alongside the team, from design and architecture to implementation;
Leverage AI tools and methodologies to boost productivity and impact;
Contribute to building AI capabilities into internal workflows.
Who You’ll Work With
You report to the Engineering Director and work closely with other Engineering Managers to ensure the alignment of practices and the well-being of the Software Engineering Team globally;
You work closely with Product Management, and Senior Engineers to be able to plan correctly and ensure the correct pace of your software team;
You must mentor and guide your team in their career path and shine at their most at Filigran.
Profile We’re Looking For
Strong interest in AI and its applications in cybersecurity;
Comfortable working with and leveraging AI-powered tools (LLMs, automation, copilots, etc.) to improve workflows and productivity;
3+ years of experience in team management, bonus if it’s in a start-up or scale-up environment;
Strong technical skills with a large experience as Software Engineer, preferably in Python;
Experience in the cybersecurity field, good knowledge of our competitor and partners;
Comfortable working in a remote, async-first environment;
Autonomy, ownership, and team spirit.
