As a C++ Software Engineer (Associate or Experienced Level), the job holder will join the Software Engineering team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing organization.

Position Responsibilities:

• Utilizing modern computer programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems;
• Performing engineering activities including architecture, requirements, development, integration and testing;
• Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals;
• Project estimation and planning;
• Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing;
• Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations;
• Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Proficiency in modern C++;
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science;
• English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 2 (Associate):

• 2+ years of applicable experience;
• Proficiency in one other programming language (python, java, javascript, etc.);
• Practical knowledge of Boost libraries;
• Experience with Linux environment;
• Collaborating in international projects.

Level 3 (Experienced):

• 5+ years of applicable experience;
• Proficiency in one other programming language (python, java, javascript, etc.);
• Practical knowledge of Boost libraries;
• Experience with Linux environment;
• Collaborating in international projects.

Additional Assets:

• Experience with virtualization (Docker, WSL, Vagrant, etc.);
• Experience with static and dynamic code analysis tools;
• Experience in embedded programming;
• Experience in software development for avionics systems or complex electronics products;
• Experience with Bazel/BitBake;
• Experience with REST API/gRPC/protobuf.
