Embedded QA Engineer

What is the role?

We are looking for a dedicated Embedded Systems QA Engineer to join EnduroSat. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our satellite embedded systems. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with the development team to deliver high-quality products. Your work will be crucial in enhancing system performance and supporting the success of our space missions.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

Actively participate in the product development cycle of various satellite modules for control, communication, power generation and distribution, etc.;
Work in close collaboration with an experienced team of software, hardware, and mechanical engineers;
Improve product designs by iteratively testing novel developments, creating logs and reporting defects using bug tracking tools;
Execute thorough manual and automated tests on production satellite modules before shipping them to customers;
Design, write, extend and execute test plans and test cases for complex features;
Maintain & extend existing software testing infrastructure and tooling;
Write new exhaustive automated tests for newly-released features in a fast-paced environment;
Investigate issues and supply test results/conclusions to the team.

What do we look for?

Degree in a technical field;
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Embedded QA Engineer;
Experience with electronic measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.;
Experience and familiarity with the Python programming language;
Experience in scripting (Python/MATLAB/shell);
Attention to detail and desire to learn new skills and systems;
Adherence to established testing methodologies and processes to release high-quality products;
Experience with Linux is a strong advantage;
ISTQB certification is a strong advantage.
