Your mission

As a Medior Software Engineer, you are expected to take on technical tasks of moderate complexity independently. You understand the system at a deeper level, utilize best practices in code development, and contribute valuable input during team discussions. While you don’t mentor others formally, you represent an experienced and consistently reliable member of the development team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Implement more complex features or solve technical challenges with minimal guidance.
  • Lead the implementation of smaller features, making sound architectural choices with oversight from senior engineer or architect.
  • Write scalable, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to industry and team standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mid-complexity system issues such as performance bottlenecks, deployment issues, or complex bugs.
  • Contribute to solution designs during planning by providing technical insight and suggesting best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, tech leads, and other engineers to define technical roadmaps.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge of the tech stack and deployment architecture, including AWS services, Istio, RabbitMQ, and Redis.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IAC), and operational pipelines if required.
  • Participate in peer review processes by providing constructive feedback.

What you’ll bring

  • Years of Experience: Typically 2–5 years of experience in software development
  • Strong understanding of the company’s tech stack (C#, Angular, RxJS, AWS EKS, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.) and the ability to apply it effectively in projects.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, CQRS, RabbitMQ (with MassTransit), microservices, and associated system patterns.
  • Experience with Git, pipelines, agile workflows, and Azure DevOps for ticket tracking and deployments.
  • Ability to balance delivering features with technical improvements (e.g., refactoring when necessary).
  • Basic understanding of software trade-offs (e.g., choosing between performance, scalability, or maintainability).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers.
  • Awareness of how cybersecurity concepts map to the technical implementation of the platform (e.g., submissions, notifications, triaging).
