Your Responsibilities

  • Teleoperation Methods: Develop AR-assisted, language-guided, and shared-autonomy teleoperation methods for large-scale robotic data collection.
  • Shared Autonomy: Fine-tune foundation and deep learning models to support intelligent shared autonomy during teleoperation.
  • Hardware Integration: Integrate VR/AR devices, motion capture systems, and teleoperation hardware with robotic platforms, ensuring reliable real-time communication and an intuitive operator experience.
  • System Improvement: Improve the usability, robustness, and performance of teleoperation systems.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with AI and robotics teams to translate research requirements into production-ready software.

Essential Skills

  • Background: Master's degree in computer science, robotics, automation, electrical engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal training and professional experience.
  • Professional Experience: 2 to 5+ years of professional experience in robotics software engineering.
  • Robotic Integration: Hands-on experience integrating perception, manipulation, and teleoperation on real robotic platforms, including work with ROS2 and robotic software development.
  • Programming: Working proficiency in Python for robotics software development, with familiarity with C++ considered a plus.
  • Learning-Based Robotics: Experience working with Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, imitation learning, deep learning, or robot foundation models.

Beneficial Skills

  • Teleoperation Frameworks: Experience with GEllo or similar robotic teleoperation frameworks.
  • Data Collection: Experience with egocentric data collection, demonstration recording pipelines, or data infrastructure for embodied AI and imitation learning.
  • Motion Sensing: Experience with human motion capture, hand tracking, or motion retargeting.
  • Immersive Development: Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine development for AR/VR applications.
  • Systems & Deployment: Experience with SLAM, Docker, or cloud-based deployment.
