This is your job

• Serve as the primary DBA for multiple, large-scale Oracle databases;
• Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related products;
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies;
• Perform capacity planning and load testing;
• Proactively monitor database performance and tune accordingly;
• Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access;
• Write and maintain custom scripts to automate various DBA tasks;
• Train junior DBAs and developers on proper database design and administration;
• Serve as a subject matter expert;
• Stay up-to-date on new Oracle features and functionality;
• Research and recommend new technologies that can improve database performance.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field;
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred;
• 5+ years experience as an Oracle DBA;
• Expertise in installation, configuration, upgrade, and patching of Oracle databases;
• Strong understanding of the Oracle database architecture;
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard;
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of Oracle databases;
• Working knowledge of shell scripting;
• Experience with other relational databases, such as SQL Server, MySQL preferred;
• Excellent German language skills.
