We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has excellent project management, leadership and communication skills. You will support our software development teams and closely collaborate with a number of skilled engineers and managers developing highly optimized and safe system software. The ability to work in a dynamic matrix organization and diverse team is required. Strong interpersonal skills and a real passion for working as a team are critical.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage complex software projects from requirements through launch, including implementing and running project schedules, removing obstacles, and keeping processes running efficiently;
  • Work with Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Program Management teams to define, prioritize, and implement features, infrastructure, processes, and workflows;
  • Regularly and proactively communicate project progress/status within/across engineering/management teams, and supervise the resolution of critical issues;
  • Drive the day-to-day operational aspects of software development, coordinating across multiple development teams as well as QA, release operations, etc.;
  • Plan out safety software development by following various safety standards such as ISO-26262 and ASIL, and execute on it flawlessly;
  • Help teams with requirements traceability, architecture decomposition, and verification methodologies for safety;
  • Anticipate risks and develop risk management solutions as appropriate;
  • Identify failures, lead retrospective analysis, and help to develop action plans;
  • Guide development teams in system safety engineering methodologies for development and verification;
  • Assist in improving processes and procedures across various software teams. Help streamline day-to-day operations.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience;
  • 5+ years of proven industry experience in successfully leading and delivering complex software projects;
  • Consistent track record of being well organized, having excellent listening skills and being detail oriented in an environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements;
  • Outstanding program management, leadership, and analytical skills with the ability to successfully manage complex technical projects in highly dynamic matrix organization;
  • Superior communication skills with ability to tailor relevant information for the right audience;
  • Detailed knowledge of project management methodologies;
  • 5+ years of experience with Automotive, Medical device, Aerospace/Aviation industry or any other industry requiring functional safety;
  • Familiarity with ASPICE or V-model.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles;
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts;
  • Experience with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 or equivalent quality/safety processes;
  • Background with AUTOSAR, Cert C/C++, or MISRA;
  • Hands on experience with Agile tools and processes;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
