Senior Software Engineer, Omniverse Search Services

The NVIDIA Omniverse team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer with specific expertise in enterprise search technologies to design, build and maintain innovative, AI-based solutions for searching and retrieving assets and information from 3D worlds.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working on backend design and development of web services;
- Collecting requirements and providing consultation to internal and external users about their use cases;
- Building infrastructure and microservices;
- Analyzing performance bottlenecks.
What we need to see:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related engineering or equivalent work experience;
- 8+ yrs experience;
- Experience with information retrieval systems, recommendation systems, or search services;
- Confirmed knowledge of Python Language;
- Experience with distributed microservices;
- Detailed knowledge of object oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns;
- In depth understanding of locking, multi-threading, asynchronous programming, and database concepts;
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Demonstrable knowledge of Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash) and Kafka;
- Experience with SQL and at least one SQL database server;
- Background with Jira, Confluence, TeamCity plugin framework;
- Experience with reactive web interfaces and JavaScript;
- Knowledge of C++ and experience interfacing with Python;
- Flexibility/adaptability for working in a dynamic diverse environment with different frameworks and requirements;
- Knowledge of 3D graphics (object representation, principles of rendering, APIs).
