DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

Here at Epson Europe in Amsterdam we are looking for you to join us as a DevOps infrastructure Engineer. Working in a close knit team you will ensure the operational readiness of our internal/external websites and applications. There will also be a significant amount of time spent on projects such as Azure and Kubernetes migration.

What you will do:

Manage all components required for websites; WAF/CDN, SSL certificates, DNS, Nginx, etc.;
Create CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, Jenkins for deployments;
Ensure the optimum security for internal applications, websites and servers which includes timely updates and implementing best security practices;
Continuous improvement to existing applications for security and performance;
Monitoring and troubleshooting of applications and Linux servers;
Manage MySQL/MariaDB databases on servers and Azure;
Ensure backup of critical servers and databases;
Migrate on-premise applications, services to Azure;
Create the documentation for new technical processes;
Communicate technical changes to users and stakeholders;
Gather technical requirements from stakeholders and the business for the new applications. Design and implement technical architecture based on these requirements.

What we ask for:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or technical field, or equivalent experience;
Experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and automation tools e.g. Ansible;
Experience with Azure (or other cloud provider);
In-depth understanding of how web applications and its components work;
Ability to adapt DevOps way of working;
Able to work independently as well as in a team;
The below requirements are desirable but it expected you will have at least some of the following experience:
- Experience with DevOps/automation tools Azure DevOps, Jenkins, git;
- Good knowledge MySQL/MariaDB;
- Good knowledge of server scripting with Bash/Python;
- Experience in Kubernetes;
- Basic knowledge and understanding of PHP/Java;
- Knowledge of cloud automation languages (Terraform, Bicep etc.).
