Informatica is looking for a Systems Engineer with experience in Red Hat Linux systems administration to join our team in Dublin or Krakow.

You will report to the Associate Director, Information Technology

As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for support and administration of our global enterprise portfolio of virtualized and physical systems running RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and CentOS, and other flavors of Unix/Linux. This support includes the planning, provisioning, support, troubleshooting, capacity planning, patching, and decommission phases of supported systems. Availability for 24x7 support is important, as this role will play a necessary part of our global "follow-the-sun" model and support systems running in our four global data centers across the globe.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

• Systems Administration of thousands of our global Linux systems, including provisioning, patching, performance tuning, upgrades and all other lifecycle support tasks;
• Systems Administration workflow optimization using automation and scripting;
• Identify, originate, schedule and complete changes and improvements for supported Linux/Unix systems;
• Participate in goals and projects with the global Linux/Unix team;
• Work with our other global infrastructure teams (network, virtualization, storage) on systems integration and support.

What We'd Like to See

• Minimum 3 years solid experience in Red Hat Linux systems administration;
• Experience with fundamental TCP/IP and networking concepts;
• Experience working in a large multinational global environment.

Role Essentials

• Experience and competency in other Linux flavors (CentOS, SuSE, Ubuntu);
• Experience with RedHat Satellite, IDM solutions;
• Experience in other Unix flavors (AIX, Solaris, HPUX);
• Scripting / automation experience;
• Experience in storage, virtualization, networking or other related infrastructure fields;
• Bachelor's degree in an applicable technology discipline, or equivalent experience;
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
