Interact Office Vienna is recruiting an IT project manager/software architect.
An experienced IT project manager/software architect is sought to join the Interact team.
The individual will play a role in the development and implementation of a large-scale software application. The position offers the opportunity for a dynamic, goal-orientated team player to apply their creativity, challenge the status-quo, and to implement agreed innovative ideas.

Our services are targeted at cooperation programmes under the European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) objective of Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 - known as Interreg. These programmes jointly tackle common challenges and find shared solutions in fields such as health, environment, research, education, transport, sustainable energy and more.
Our work covers the Member States of the European Union, as well as Norway and Switzerland. We also support programmes in pre-accession and European Neighbourhood countries. We are co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
We are a decentralised organisation with a horizontal team structure. Our Managing Authority and Interact Secretariat are based in Bratislava. We also have four Interact offices in Turku (Finland), Valencia (Spain), Viborg (Denmark) and Vienna (Austria).

Interact Office Vienna is hosted by the City of Vienna, Municipal Department 27 - European Affairs. Employer of the Interact Office Vienna staff is the EU-Förderagentur GmbH on behalf of the City of Vienna.
The eMS (electronic monitoring system) is a free of charge monitoring system provided by Interact to all interested EU cooperation programmes. It supports project and programme implementation as well as communication with beneficiaries. The system has different modules for application, assessment, contracting and reporting for funding projects besides modules for monitoring and steering for programme authorities.
The system was designed by Interact in close collaboration with a group of Interreg programmes and developed by an external IT provider. The eMS is a web-based Java application using open-source or free to use technologies and a license free Linux based environment.
The IT project manager/software architect will join the team of content experts working on the eMS. They will also be involved in the preparation, procurement and development of a new monitoring software. This software will support the involved programmes through to 2027, as part of the new European Structural Investment Fund period1.
